Our History
TUFF PLUS® is a professional automotive LED lighting manufacturer serving a wide range of vehicle and machinery applications. We supply high-quality LED lighting solutions to global OEM partners, distributors, and professional customers, with a continued focus on advanced technology, reliable performance, and long-term cooperation.
Foundation and Domestic Market Leadership
TUFF PLUS® launched its brand in 2004 and focused entirely on the LED automotive lighting business. Since then, we have steadily developed the Chinese domestic market. Consequently, we have consistently ranked among the Top 10 companies in the Chinese automotive lighting industry.
Manufacturing Expansion and Global Market Entry
In 2014, TUFF PLUS® opened a new manufacturing plant and expanded its product range. Meanwhile, we developed products for agricultural machinery, heavy-duty trucks, off-road 4x4 vehicles, motorcycles, and powersports. Furthermore, we established an International Sales Department to support global exports. In 2016, our factory achieved IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certifications, highlighting our strong commitment to quality management.
R&D Upgrade and Quality Standardization
During this period, we built fully ESD-protected and dust-free workshops. In addition, we formed an R&D department with over 80 engineers specializing in electronics, optics, mechanics, thermal management, and software. Thanks to these developments, 90% of our products obtained E-Mark and DOT certifications by 2018, strengthening our global competitiveness.
OEM/ODM Development and Industry Collaboration
Later, TUFF PLUS® expanded into the LED modular business, designing and producing OEM and ODM lighting projects. Step by step, we have become a trusted Tier 2 supplier in the automotive industry. Moreover, by working closely with global partners, we continue to broaden our international presence.
Intelligent Manufacturing Transformation
In 2024, TUFF PLUS® invested $40 million to build a new intelligent manufacturing plant. As a result, the facility now covers 1,080,000 square feet and can produce over 3 million sets of various LED lights annually. Impressively, about 95% of production processes—including parts injection, UV hardening, vacuum painting, SMT, die-casting, powder coating, and assembly—are completed in-house. This expansion further strengthens our large-scale production capacity for global OEM and aftermarket customers.

International Trade Department
Since 2014, TUFF PLUS® has exported to over 130 countries, including markets in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. Our International Trade Department works closely with OEM partners, distributors, and professional buyers, providing responsive communication, product consultation, project coordination, and after-sales support. By actively participating in global exhibitions, we continue to engage with customers, showcase our innovations, and expand our international market presence.
Production Department
We operate 20 automated production lines within fully ESD-protected and dust-free facilities, achieving an annual output of over 3 million lighting units. Our Production Department manages key manufacturing processes with a strong focus on efficiency, consistency, and quality control. Many of our products are designed and certified to meet key international standards, including ECE and DOT requirements, ensuring reliable quality and stable supply for global OEM and aftermarket customers.
Research and Development Department
Our R&D team consists of over 120 engineers specializing in automotive lighting optics, electronics, materials, thermal management, and mechanical systems. The department supports product design, optical simulation, structural development, testing, and customized OEM/ODM projects. This experienced team drives continuous innovation, ensuring TUFF PLUS® delivers advanced, reliable, and high-quality automotive lighting solutions.
Product Certifications
To ensure superior product quality, TUFF PLUS® strictly follows the IATF 16949 quality management system. We also implement ERP and MES systems to monitor every component, ensuring full traceability across all products.
